Another week has come to an end, I'm sitting here with a glass of Jameson trying to find out what the hell happened. First of all, Kjell is up and running in his studio and he's really on to something, Thomsson has fixed the bass on a couple of songs and me and Petrus has "cleaned up" the songs (get rid of stuff you don't need, like guiding vocals etc). I have been torturing Anton for hours and hours with him playing 6 and 12-string acoustic guitar. He will contribute with this on "The Ultimate Thrill" and the end section of "Piece of the Sky". On the last one of these 2, we actually used 4 different ac.guitars that had very different sounds from each other. Last but not least, this time around we did NOT forget the mandolin! Oh boy! At the end of the session in the middle of the night, in my ears it was like God put a mandolin in Anton's hands and God played it through his fingers, or maybe I was just too tired. No seriously, he did an awesome job as usual. We used the mandolin on "Song for July" and also a little bit on "Fallen Empire". The only thing I can say about it all: "Anton really nailed that little bastard"!!!
